Logical Conclusion of the Day: Also, as noted by Redditor Hank_Scorpio_77, Batman Begins was released the year Obama was sworn in as Senator (2005).
Election over.

Huge front page op-ed in the San Diego Union-Tribune today about the need to expand the convention center beyond the planned proposal, while also building a new football stadium within spitting distance.

We believe this vision is not just grand but achievable, financially and politically. It would transform the waterfront into a regional economic powerhouse far beyond what it is today. It would produce a convention center that could compete with any other center in the world. And we believe it is a far better approach than current plans to build a new stadium away from the waterfront and an expanded convention center as separate projects.

There’s even a second, much longer editorial laying out how it is possible and financially conceivable.

No mention of Comic-Con anywhere in there, which has been a huge reason for the continual expansion of the Convention Center for many years, but this plan clearly understands the need to support both larger conventions and a major league football team.

get this shit done, it looks super dope. Keep the Chargers and Comic Con in SD
